Embodied™ is an immersive, mentorship-driven Pilates teacher training designed to develop strong, intelligent, and embodied instructors.

This comprehensive 10 week certification, starting March 28th, blends hands-on training, academic study, supervised teaching, and real-world apprenticeship to prepare trainees with confidence.


The program is a hybrid in-person/virtual weekend intensive with guided observation, apprentice teaching hours, and independent practice.

Instructor Training at Palma Pilates

You’ll learn:

  • Functional anatomy & kinesiology 

  • Pilates history & lineage

  • The full classical Mat repertoire including the 34 classical exercises centered on Contrology

  • Reformer programming & equipment safety

  • Injury prevention & modifications

  • Teaching methodology & cueing

  • Sequencing & class design

  • Professional ethics & business standards

  • A guide to the business of Pilates designed to help instructors post-graduation

Become a certified instructor in 10 weeks

Phase 1:
Live Training

Eight weekends of learning and movement

  • Lecture & lab

  • Movement breakdowns

  • Supervised teaching drills

  • Real-time corrections

  • Group teaching practice

Phase 2:
Apprentice Teaching

Supervised apprentice hours

  • Assisting classes

  • Teaching segments under supervision

  • Refining cueing and pacing

  • Receiving direct feedback

Apprentice hours are completed in-studio alongside certified instructors to ensure real-world readiness.

Phase 3:
Observation

Students observe our experienced instructors teaching Reformer classes.

Phase 4:
Self Practice

Students complete independent practice hours to:

  • Deepen proprioception

  • Build strength & endurance

  • Integrate sequencing patterns

  • Develop teaching intuition

Certification is awarded upon successful completion of all 430 hours of training and assessments.

Pilates has a unique ability to center us through breath, alignment, and purposeful movement, and we want to extend that beyond our studio’s walls.
